CHARTER BOATS\u00a0 \u00a0in OMJ section\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Essential to the racing here, is the quality of the charter boats, which are maintained in racing trim and all able to win in the right hands. As well as supplying the boats we are here to help you before and during the regatta with the boats preparation to your own preference within the Class Rules.<\/h2>\n

RACING AREA\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Thailand is a great place to sail. The marina in Pattaya is top quality, not reliant on tides, and racing is within sight of the marina. It is hot and sunny almost every day of the year with a water temperature of 28 degrees C year round. Pattaya is a most modern city and has superb beaches, shopping and nightlife. Fun for all the family amongst friendly locals and a low cost of living.<\/p>\n

PLATU CHARTER COSTS\u00a0 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

All charter Platus are presented in excellent racing condition and undergo a 100 item checklist prior to racing.<\/p>\n

It has been proven that any one of our Platus is capable of winning with\u00a0\"\"<\/a>the right crew onboard.<\/p>\n

If you have any problems after inspection and preparation we will be there to put them right.\u00a0We are also there throughout the regatta with tools and spares\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

All boats conform to the Platu 25 International Class Rules 2018 as amended by the Thailand National Class Association rules.<\/p>\n

Customers are allowed to use any of their own equipment as long as boats are returned with all original equipment fitted.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Charter costs<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a02026 will be 50,000 baht for a three day Championship regatta with one free day before the regatta for boat preparation and one day practise.60,000 baht for a four day event. This excludes\u00a0 OMJ entry fees of 7,500 baht for boat and crew, payable at registration. Radios and extra winch handles can also be hired. We also offer Package deals to include boat charter fee, transport to and from the airport, transport to the marina every day, hotel and entry fee plus a meal on arrival\u00a0 280 Euro\/person 5 crew, 290 Euro\/person 4 crew\u00a0 \u00a0(or 228 and 238 if 2 share a room).<\/p>\n

Damage costs<\/strong>. Crew are responsible for any boat damage or loss of equipment.<\/p>\n

The skipper<\/strong>\u00a0will be required to be experienced and competent and accept full responsibility for the crew, the boat and the equipment.<\/p>\n

Booking..<\/strong>A non refundable deposit\u00a0of 10,000 baht is required to secure a charter boat when booking and full payment is required one month in advance of the event.\u00a0The charter fee allows one day’s boat inspection and preparation on the hard stand and one days practise on the water before the event. The boats are fitted with sails able to win with the right crew onboard.<\/p>\n

These boats are also available for day cruising.<\/p>\n

“Cruising” charter rates in Pattaya are 7,000 baht per day plus a 2,000 baht launching fee.<\/p>\n

The marina and local area.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pattaya is known for its nightlife, shopping and restaurants. The weather is good all year round. The racing area is only a mile and a half out of the marina, which has been voted “The best in Asia” several times.\u00a0 Plenty to do away from the sailing and cost of living is low. Good hotels near the marina can be found for 1,000 baht a night for two including a good buffet breakfast<\/p>\n

\u00a0OMJ CLUB RACING<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Monthly racing is encouraged so that individual crew members pay just 900 baht each for two days club sailing on a Platu. This includes launching fees, boat charter costs, sails and OMJ entry fees. No experience necessary. There is racing and cruising every fortnight.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
